Hold the front page, it’s almost time for the next LivLUG meeting and this time we’ll be back in DOES Liverpool. For the first time in almost 18 months we can meet in person! Obviously we’ll be social distancing and being careful but it’s going to be strange to all be in the same place. Here’s the vital details:
Weds September 1st 2021 7pm onwards at DOES Liverpool, Kempston St, Liverpool.
Full directions and details for the venue can be found on their website.
I will bring a laptop to connect to Jitsi so anyone who can’t make it in person can still chat to the rest of us. As usual for the online meeting the link you need is – https://meet.jit.si/livlug

Jitsi is free and open source video conferencing software which runs on computers, tablets and phones. It all works inside a web browser. You need a microphone and camera to participate obviously but most mobile devices will already have these anyway. There are also mobile apps for Android and some other platforms.
Since Jitsi uses WebRTC we recommend using Chromium or Brave web browsers for best results.
We don’t have a talk planned or anything specific but all are welcome to join us and no level of technical experience or expertise is expected. It’s just a relaxed get together. Of course if you have Linux or Open Source techy questions you want to ask then we’ll do our best to help.
If you have any questions or queries please email me via – dan@danlynch.org
Hope to see many of you online this Wednesday for a catch up 🙂
Dan
