Hello everyone, it may still be November as I type these words but Christmas is looming large on the horizon. How did that happen? Anyway, it’s become a tradition for us LivLUG peeps to use our December meeting as an early Christmas meal and social gathering. Many years ago I started calling it the “Yule LUG”, a bad pun on the traditional Christmas ornament and I’ve never been known to under use a joke.
We had a few discussions about where to go, what types of food people like, dietary requirements and so on. After all this the only place everyone agreed on was one of the many Wetherspoons in the city centre.
So our next meeting will be a Christmas social gathering at The North Western in Liverpool City Centre, Wednesday December 6th from 7pm onwards. We’ll probably just meet in the main bar but if you can’t see us have a look around, we’ll be there somewhere. I haven’t booked a table but the pub is massive and shouldn’t be too busy on a Wednesday night.
The Menu:
You can see the menu on offer here. Hopefully they should have something for everyone. If you don’t want to eat that’s fine too, just come along and say hi. All are welcome.
Travel & Directions:
The North Western is actually attached to Lime St Station so nice and easy for anyone planning to get the train. There is also parking nearby if you need it. There are directions and other useful information on the pub’s website.
Key Detail Summary:
Venue: The North Western pub, 7 Lime Street, Liverpool, L1 1RJ
Date/Time: Weds December 6th 2018 – 7pm onwards
Any Questions?
If you have questions or would like to get in touch about anything to do with this please post on our mailing list or leave a comment on this post.
The first Wednesday of 2018 is January 3rd and we may forgo or postpone that so soon after New Year, we can discuss it at the meal.
Hope to see many of you there 🙂
